Saneh Forest Rest House

Saneh FRH built in 1888 is at an elevation of 310m, and is located about 12 km on the Kotdwar-kalagarh road. It was once an important timber mart. Kotri river flows 100m from the FRH. Karvashram is 24 km away from the FRH at Saneh on the banks of Malini river. It is believed that Rishi Vishwamitra meditated at the ashram and Menaka, the celestial beauty was sent by the gods to disturb him. Idols of Kanva, Bharat, Shakumtala & Dushyant are housed in the ashram
