Dhaunaulti FRH is 30 km on the Mussoorie-Tehri state highway, at a commanding elevation of 2275m. Built in 1918, this FRH is situated amidst deodar forests. Popular treks are to Buranskhanda 5km and Chorpani 3km. The Surkanda Devi Temple is 7 km with a short 1 km climb to the top. Dhanaulti is also a favoured destination during winter when it witnesses heavy snowfall. The Dhanualti-Naglibba forest road is a good drive. The Tehri Dam is situated around 40km from Dhanaulti and is worth visit. Kana Tal is 13km away and is a pretty picture when the apple tree blossom in May-June.
